Southern Girl goes North!

28th November, saw Katie travel to the prestigious 150th Anniversary Cleveland Dog Society Open Show.  Where against exceedingly tough competition she won her classes, went BOB and then Won the Toy Group!  Under Cesare Cortes, & Mdme Chantal Trantchard, and Martin Freeman.  What a lovely day we had.

What a Girl!

On November 3rd, Katie surpassed herself at the Thames Estuary Open Show, by not only going BOB, and Best Toy she took top honours with Best In Show!!  Mum was tired but delighted with the win!  The following day, 4th November at South & West Wales Ch. Show she won her class and gained her Junior Warrant!!  Who could ask for such an exciting weekend!

Love Scotland!

We had a great if long weekend, travelling to Scotland on the Friday 24th August Showing on the Saturday at SKC Ch. Show at Ingliston where Katie won Puppy Bitch, Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed!  Not to be outdone, our Silky (Stavonga Soft as Silk) came 4th in Open Bitch behind 3 worthy champions.  I was thrilled albeit a long day!  Stayed overnight on Saturday and travelled back on Sunday.  Only to turn around again for the Leicester City Canine Society on Monday 27th, where Katie continued her winning streek and went Best Puppy in Breed, Best Bitch and then Best of Breed.  In the Toy Group she came 3rd and in Top Puppy Group she came 2nd.  We went home with all the ribbons!!  Again Silky showed her stuff and won her Open class.  I think Silky will start to reign in the little up-start!

Stavonga Phoebe @ South Wales

Not wishing to be left out of the limelight, Phoebe picked her way through the long grass and secured 2nd in Special Yearling - yet another strongly contested class - this was judged under the tent as the heavens had opened with yet another mini monsoon!

What Katie did next!

On a wet 5th July 07 blustery day at South Wales Ch. Show - having moved to the Newbury show ground due to flooding at USK - Katie moved into the Puppy class, and amongst top competition - not only from the other dogs but the weather too!  Managed to win Puppy and then hooray!  She won Best Puppy Bitch.  We had been up since 4.0 a.m. that morning and left home at 6.0 a.m. getting home at around 7.30 p.m. so a long day and lots of traffic jams and accidents on the journey home - but the adrenaline rush kept us awake!!

Katie wonderful Katie ….

After a long drive in rotten weather to Border Union 17th June - Katie won Minor Puppy bitch in a hotly contested class of 19 - it was definitely ‘wellies’ weather!

Stavonga Phoebe

Not to be outdone by Katie Phoebe took the lead at the Scottish Ch. Show gaining a first in Novice, with Silky (Stavonga soft as Silk) gaining a 2nd in Post Graduate

It only gets Better…!!
