Covington PayDirt took BOB all 4 days over entries in the 40’s & 50’s each day. NEW AKC CHAMPION, CH. COVINGTON BURNT SUEDE takes a major to finish his title, on Sunday 3-2-08, under Judge Diane Malenfant, and Covington Makers Mark takes a Major on Friday, 2-29-08 Judge Charlotte McGowan. All shown by Bruce Schultz & Tara Tuthill. And a huge congratulations goes out to Sidney’s daughter, NEW AKC CHAMPION, CH. Laughing Heaven Sent, bred by Barbara Garnett Wilson & Owned by Faye Glazebrook, Donna Marshall & Beth Davis, who took 3 consecutive 5 point majors to finish her title, under Judges McGowan, Malenfant & Ms. Virginia Lyne. WESTMINSTER WEEKEND: Ch. Covington PayDirt is awarded the 1st Award of Merit (with an attending entry of over 25 Champion specials), at the WMKC show under judge Ed. Bevin, shown by Bruce Schultz, PHA. Congratulations to Ch. Pinecrest Orchard Hill Rock The Boat for the Breed win for a 2nd year in a row.
Dirt was also awarded the 1st Award Of Merit at the Meadowlands show, over the Westminster weekend, judge Peter Hill, UK

The highlight of the Westminster weekend was not the wins, but the long awaited news that “Sarabella” Covington Dumpling, owned by Loran Morgan in California was found and re-united with Loran, after being stolen from his SUV, crate & all, in November of 2007. Sarabella is back with her owner because she was micro-chipped. A long sad 4 months passed without knowing what happened to her. Thankfully, she was returned in good condition & in good spirits. Microchip your dogs & don’t leave them in your cars.

Ch. Covingtion Paydirt, “DIRT” now co-owned with & campaigned by, Ellen Seidman, heads up the charts his first weekend out as a Special, with his biggest fan ever since he was 9 months old, and now handler, Mr. Bruce Schultz, PHA. Fallowing his Fathers footsteps exactly on his first weekend out, Dirt wins BOB & a Group 4 on Sat & BOB & a Group nod on Sunday at the Palm Springs Annual Kick off shows. Sidney, (Ch. Rosscrea Flying High) who finished 2007 at #8, has handed over the challange for 2008 to his son.
We are looking forward to Sidney returning to Covington, after a year away, where he most certainly can rest on his laurels, not only in his accomplishments in the ring in 2007, but in the legacy of quality offspring that follow in his footsteps.
Thank you to the collaboration of “real people & real believers” and the many years of REAL friendships that have been associated with & behind BOTH these dogs….Sidney’s breeder, Mrs. Wendy Taylor, for letting Sidney come to live with me here in the US. Ellen Seidman, his co-owner & biggest fan, for a thrilling 2007 and to Bruce Schultz & Tara Tuthill his handlers for their expertise in the sport of purebred dogs, for their love of our breed and for making Sidney and now Dirt a member of their family. I look forward to an even faster ride with all of you as the “Dirt & Bruce team”, kick it into overdrive in 2008!!!!

We have just returned from the CKCSC-USA National Specialty & Trudy Brown Albrech shows in Burbank California. Covington had a nice showing and we are pleased to share that our young 12 month old, Pierre, Covington Makers Mark, on his first time in the show ring, took Best Puppy In Sweepstakes under Judge Roberta Jones of Rutherford Cavaliers. Pierre also took Res. Winners Dog for a major win at the Trudy Albrech, under Judge Mandy Mulligan of Nightingale Cavaliers and a 1st Award of Merit under Ken Town, Barsac Cavaliers the day of the National.
The National Specialty Best In Show was awarded to the lovely CKCSC-USA & AKC Ch. Pinecrest Orchardhill Rock the Boat, by Judge Ken Town of Barsac Cavaliers in Scotland. Our own AKC Ch. Covington Chrome, at his first Club show weekend was awarded Res. Best In Show and Pierre was awarded the first Award of Merit. Also, our very lovely AKC, CKCSC-USA & English Ch. Rosscrea Bedazzled of Covington, bred by Wendy Taylor, was awarded Res. Winners Bitch for another club major by Judge Ken Town. We would like to congratulate all the the other winners of the weekend as well. Great Job!

ANOTHER COVINGTON SWEEP AND TWO NEW AKC CHAMPIONS: An exciting weekend to see our Sidney, Ch. Rosscrea Flying High, looking his all time best, co-owned & campaigned by Ellen Seidman, up in the Northwest on his campaign trail with handler Bruce Schultz PHA. Sidney won BOB both days and littermates from Sidney’s first litter, both coming into the weekend needing a single point to title, Covington Chrome took BOW and Covington Gotta Kiss the Girl, co-owned and presented by Becky Smith, took WB & BOS, making both dogs new AKC Championships on the same day in the same ring with their sire, on Sat. These titles make up 3 littermate Champions from Sidney’s very first litter, the first being Ch. Covington Paydirt. On Sunday, Sidney won the breed again, and WB was awarded to our ”newbie in the ring”, first weekend out, Rhoyal Covington Charlotte, bred by Rhoda Macy, owned by Covington, also sired by CH. Rosscrea Flying High.
